Of B and E Strings

Everything we learn builds on the basics that we learned earlier. So make sure you’re in tune before you start!
Then we’re going to move back into the open strings and finally, we’re going to concentrate on the notes on the E and B strings that we learned.
If you’re having trouble hearing the notes, try the following suggestions:

  • Make sure you’re in a fairly quiet room
  • Close your eyes. Yeah, it sounds goofy and looks goofier, but our bodies naturally and automatically compensate for the loss of one of our senses – even if it’s temporary. Closing your eyes will sharpen your ears.
  • While the original note is still ringing, play your note so you have a comparison.

Keep trying and…
Until next time…Play in the Key of YOU!
