Mixing Up the Warm-Ups

The first four sets of finger exercises concentrated on basic technique and getting a feel for the guitar. The next few sets will really work on finger independence. These new sets are definitely more difficult than the last.

By now, you should be able to play all of the finger exercises at the first fret (or first position).
We are going to move these up the neck, as well.

Make sure that your left hand fingers remain curved and that you are using alternate picking. Don’t forget about your rhythm, either. Run the exercises in both whole notes and half notes.
