Bring It Back Up

Alright – we worked on some down strumming and now we are going to work on up strumming.  We start below the first string (toward the floor) and we are going to move our arm up.  You arm should move like a pendulum, straight up and straight down.

You should have a lot of wrist action and a lot of elbow action – it’s a combined movement.  Neither your wrist nor elbow should be stiff.  Let’s give it a try.  We are going start below the first string and come up toward the ceiling above the low E string. Below the first string above the sixth string.
